Your Canyon Lake Handyman. Quality Work, Honest Pricing

Hey, I’m Joel. I run Briggs Handyman, and I’m based right up the 15 in Murrieta, which makes Temecula my home market. If you’ve got a running list of things that need fixing around the house, that’s exactly what I’m here for.

I spent years on residential and commercial jobs before I moved into full-service handyman work. That background means I approach every job the same way: figure out what’s actually wrong, fix it right the first time, and tell you upfront what it’ll cost. No surprises on the invoice.

Temecula’s a valley of master-planned neighborhoods, stucco, and red tile roofs — and our summers are brutal on the outside of a house. Sun-faded wood, dried-out gates, cracked caulking, worn weatherstripping: I see it constantly and I know how to fix it right. If you’ve got a list of things that keep getting pushed to the weekend that never comes, give me a call.

Installations Ceiling fan installation, light fixture installation, smart lighting and Lutron-style systems, TV mounting, appliance installation, blind and shade installation, faucet installationfurniture assembly, sprinkler system repair and maintenance.

Temecula Neighborhoods I Serve

I cover all of Temecula — ZIPs 92590, 92591, and 92592 — from the older established parts of town to the newest tract homes. A few areas and the kind of work these homes tend to need:

  • Old Town & Rancho Highlands — some of the closest homes to downtown, and many have been around long enough to need real attention: drywall, doors, fixtures, and general catch-up maintenance.
  • Harveston — lakeside master-planned living off Winchester; Cape Cod-style homes with plenty of trim, fencing, and exterior wood that takes a beating in the sun.
  • Redhawk & Vail Ranch — south Temecula’s hillside and golf-course homes; patio covers, railings, gates, and sun-exposed fascia are common here.
  • Paloma del Sol, Paseo del Sol & Wolf Creek — family master-planned tracts; the full range of interior repairs plus fence, gate, and sprinkler work.
  • Roripaugh Ranch, Crowne Hill & Morgan Hill — newer, upscale, some gated; smart-home installs, lighting, TV mounts, and finish work.
  • Meadowview, Los Ranchitos, De Luz & Wine Country — equestrian and large-lot properties on 2–5+ acres; more fencing, gates, outbuildings, and room to roam.

I also serve the neighboring cities of Murrieta, Menifee, Wildomar, Lake Elsinore, and Canyon Lake. Not sure if you’re in my service area? Just call — I’m probably nearby.

Why Temecula Homeowners Call Briggs

You get a real price upfront. If you can describe the job and send me a photo, I’ll give you a number before I ever show up. If that isn’t feasible, I’ll get you an estimate that I stick to.

I work alone, and that’s a feature, not a bug. When you book with Briggs, I’m the one who shows up and does the work. You’re not getting a rotating crew of subs. You know exactly who’s coming into your home.

I respect the house. I clean up. I don’t leave a mess. If I move something to do a job, I put it back. Sounds basic, but it’s apparently not that common.

No minimum job size. Some companies have minimum charges of $300 or more. If you have a small repair that’ll take 20 minutes, I’m still happy to come out. Those small jobs are how I build relationships with customers who become regulars.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you serve all of Temecula, CA? Yes — I cover all of Temecula across the 92590, 92591, and 92592 ZIP codes and every neighborhood in between. If you’re not sure whether you’re in my service area, just give me a call and I’ll let you know. I also work regularly in Murrieta, Menifee, Wildomar, and Canyon Lake.

Do you work in gated and HOA communities? Yes. Plenty of Temecula neighborhoods are gated or have active HOAs — just add me to your guest list or let the gate know I’m expected, and I’ll check in like any vendor. If your HOA has rules about exterior colors or approved materials, tell me upfront and I’ll work within them.

How much do handyman services in Temecula cost? It depends on the job, and I’ll always tell you before I start. Small repairs like a faucet swap or a ceiling fan install typically run $200–$350 depending on complexity. Larger jobs like drywall repair, fence work, or a full day of mixed tasks are quoted based on scope. I don’t have a high minimum charge — if the job is quick, the price reflects that.

Are you licensed and insured? Briggs Handyman is a licensed local business and fully insured. I’m not a general contractor — California law limits the scope of what an unlicensed contractor can do, and I’m upfront about that. If a job falls outside my legal scope, I’ll tell you and recommend someone who’s properly licensed for it.

Can you help with sun and weather damage? That’s a big part of the work out here. Temecula sun tears up exterior wood, gates, fascia, and finishes fast. I handle repairs, re-securing, sanding and refinishing, weatherstripping, and caulking to get things sealed back up and looking right.

How soon can you come out? Often same-week, sometimes same-day depending on my schedule. I’m not a large company with a 3-week backlog. Call or text 916-209-0070 and I’ll give you a real answer on timing.

Can you handle a list of different repairs in one visit? That’s actually ideal. I can knock out a full honey-do list in a single visit — saves you time and usually makes the trip more efficient for both of us. Describe everything when you call and I’ll let you know how to plan the appointment.

Do you do work for rental properties or landlords? Yes. Between tenants is a common time — repairs, paint touch-ups, appliance swaps, door hardware, that kind of thing. I can also help with move-out punch lists.
